I love your travel posts! I’m about to purchase the small AWAY carry on, but they just came out with “soft” luggage. Any pros/cons of hard vs. soft luggage in your experience? I do not travel very much. Thanks!

I saw that and was intrigued. My guess is that the soft version is more expandable but possibly less durable / easy-to-clean? If you don't travel often either should serve you well! x

So helpful! We travel to Europe with 5 kiddos yearly to visit my husbands family, packing cubes have been SO helpful! Each kiddo has their own and any special outfits and PJs go in another. Keeps suitcase so much more organized!

I really admire you! I’m the overpacker overweight kind, begging the agent to let me in with the extra pounds 😂 …I can’t change that I guess it’s my personality…🤷🏻‍♀️

Ha! It is so freeing not to carry much - maybe one day ;)

Love this! Thanks for sharing.

As a runner, I struggle to fit my workout clothes in addition to what I’ll wear in the day/evening hours. One thing I’ve found is that I will pack enough undergarments/socks but pick a few things I will wash while away at a laundromat or (last resort) the hotel I’m staying at. Would love any additional tips!

One I’ve used is to bring shoes for running that are also cute enough to dress up a bit and these have been my fave I’ve found so far https://www.tracksmith.com/products/w-tracksmith-eliot-runner?sku=FT1000040NAW

I have and love the toiletry case you use, but I never use it for travel since I usually carry my bag on (and so I need all my liquids to be in a clear bag). Do you usually check? Or do you keep your liquids outside the cuyana bag until you get to where you’re going?

I just use a clear plastic bag within the toiletry case - I am rarely asked to remove my toiletries but if I am, I can just pop it out! x

I threw my shoulder out schlepping luggage through 5 European countries. It took an entire year for my shoulder to right itself. I'm learning from you!

Oh no! No more schlepping heavy bags for you! x

What is the name of your trench? The link goes to The Curated website but not the specific trench coat you have. Thanks!

I have the classic coat in camel (they run large) and I also have the tailored trench which is better for rain and lighter for travel: https://shopthecurated.net/collections/archive-sale-1/products/the-tailored-trench-sage-green?variant=44050957402351

Hi Shira! Love following along on your adventures and your minimalist packing - it’s so freeing to not be weighed down by stuff so you can focus on the important things! Copenhagen is one of my favorite places - if you have time, would highly recommend a visit to Juno Bakery and Höst. If not, save them for another time! :) Happy Travels!

Love to see how others pack light. We will be in Aix en Provence in September where we have a house with washing machine but in Nice for six days in a hotel. Walking shoes are always top of my list.

Love these tips - thanks for sharing! I'm loving the packing cubes :-) For the tote, does it fit under the seat in front of you on the plane, or do you put it in the overhead compartment? And what do you use as a small purse, when you are walking around and just need phone, keys, money, etc.?
