I’m all for fewer, better things and I also feel like your suggestions are still outside of my budget. Could you please share some faves that are under $100 more often? Thank you! And thank you for sharing your wisdom and insights to everyone without requiring a paid subscription. So many of your posts resonate with me and I appreciate their accessibility.
Thanks for writing and totally hear you! I always share items in my mini edit that are free or under $100 (books, shows, podcasts, housewares, lip gloss!) so I assume you are referring to apparel.
When it comes to clothes / shoes I only share links to smaller brands - typically independent, female-founded businesses vs big box stores / fast fashion. While these options tend to have tighter margins and higher retail prices, you can often find them on sites like Noihsaf, Grailed, and The Real Real for up to 70% off. I now do much of my shopping second-hand which means a $300 blouse can be scored for $50. Hope this helps! xx
Thank you so much for the list, I joined Substack after you had begun the summers challenges so I was thrilled to have easy links to the older articles! I also have a do not buy list where candles are featured... 😆 Also stationery/notebooks. It is a THING. Willpower versus notebooks is never a sure thing. Have a great end to your trip. (Check out the tethered hot air balloon in the park if you haven't already, absolutely gorgeous views of the city!)
I just want to say how much I'm loving all of these challenges. Three deep breaths before checking my phone in the morning is about as much (more) change as I can handle right now, and I'll take it. Thank you, Shira!

I love a good challenge! Finishing my 14 day reset in a few days. 🤭
Yay! xx
