Each season I try to be very intentional about what I buy (and don’t buy!). I know it’s not officially summer just yet (June 20th for those counting down), but my girls’ school has let out, and the sun is out in California, so I thought I’d share some summer-inspired things I’ve been loving (or eyeing).
(1) The Best Sunscreen
I’ve become serious about sun protection as I’ve gotten older, and this one from SuperGoop is hands down my favorite. It’s weightless, scentless and even doubles as a makeup primer. $38 Linked Here. I’ve also been told Trader Joe’s has a great dupe for a fraction of the cost that I’m planning to try out. $9 Linked here.
(2) Conditioning Lip Oil
I’m a sucker for a good moisturizing lip balm, and this one by Saltair (which I discovered at my favorite hotel in Ojai) is my current fave. It’s super hydrating, formulated with coconut oil and shea butter, and a steal at $9. Linked Here.
(3) A Boxy White Tee
Oh, how I live for a boxy white tee. I have my eye on this 100% cotton version from Benetton (old school!) which seems effortlessly chic. $38. Linked Here.
(4) The Only Sun Hat You Need
I love a good stylish hat, but most of them don’t offer significant enough shade from the summer sun. This beauty, from my favorite Los-Angeles based hat maker Janessa Leone, is seriously big and looks incredibly chic. I plan to wear it all summer long, and it’s even sturdy enough to fold in half and pop in a tote or beach bag for travel! $287 Linked Here.

(5) Freda Salvador Chic Flats
I’m pretty much done with wearing heels, so I’ve been on a mission to find chic, elevated flats for a while. I’m pretty loyal to Freda Salvador when it comes to shoes because they check all my boxes. They’re female-founded, based in San Francisco, the owners are super kind, and their small batch shoes (while an investment) are handcrafted in family factories in Spain and El Salvador and made to last.

My favorites for summer include these raffia flats, these more classic round ballet flats, and these studded fisherman sandals for a little edge. You can use my code 15SHIRA for 15% off your first order at Freda Salvador Linked Here.
(6) Josh Rosebrook Refresher
A multi-tasking moisturizer, toner, and hydrator - a spritz or two of this cooling refresher makes me feel like I’ve gone to the spa. $35 Linked Here.

the peach popsicles look delicious, definitely going to try it out, thank you for introducing me to a new recipe. I have just been listening to how over processed food is so detrimental to our health that something simple and home made with basic and real ingredients is exactly what I want. Love the hat as well.
