Nearly fifteen years ago, I published my first newsletter on a free WordPress site. Even though I could count my readers on one hand (my mother among them) I made the commitment to post new content every Tuesday morning - and I still do.
Now there are over 30,000 of you, representing nearly every continent on the globe, but my mission remains the same: to share strategies to help you clear physical and mental clutter so you can live a more authentic, productive, and purposeful life.
Less than six months ago I moved my newsletter over to the Substack platform, with both a free and a new paid membership option. Starting today I’ve decided to provide free access to all of my content moving forward.
Here’s why…
It More Closely Aligns with my Mission
I want to help as many people as possible, regardless of budget, so making all of my content available to anyone who needs it just feels better.
Paywalls Are Super Annoying
I personally hate paywalls and find them distracting. Poof. Now they’re gone.
It’s Less Complicated for my Brain
Sorting out which content to provide to free vs. paid subscribers doesn’t feel simple to me, and I’ve built my whole career around making things as simple as possible.
What this Means for You
Moving forward, you’ll have full access to all of my new content and bonuses - no paywalls, no pitches to upgrade your subscription.
The truth is that I never set out to make Substack my primary income source, and I feel really good about staying consistent in the ways I have always monetized my business. I will continue to write books, offer courses, workshops, retreats, and other opportunities to work together, all of which you can find on my website, right here.
For those of you who would like to support this newsletter, and my mission of helping as many people as possible, you can do so by subscribing (if you have not already) and sharing this newsletter with your friends, family, and colleagues.
Thanks for being here and being the biggest part of everything I do.
Love this Shira. I’m a long time follower. And I love your content and your ethic, which is why I follow. This decision is both sensible and kind. And very you. Thank you. K :)
Thank you so much Shira! I am a huge fan and have both your books (which I've read twice!) so I really appreciate this as I am on a tight budget! You're awesome!
