I know it’s not officially spring yet (March 19th for those counting down) but since I have spring on the brain, I thought I’d share some spring-inspired things I’ve been loving (or eyeing).
Oversized Cozy Cardigan
The search is over for the perfect light, yet warm, sweater. I own this cozy cardi in light beige, and it’s a real wardrobe staple, but I have been eyeing it in this striped version for spring because…stripes!
Miracle Balm
This is my #1 most versatile makeup essential. I use it for lips, cheeks, and even as a dewy highlighter. It gives you a lovely, fresh glow, and is clean and cruelty free. Linked here.
The Goods Mart
I really love a good snack. Some might even call me a snacker. I came across The Goods Mart when searching for Señor Mango (a small brand my chef brother recommended). Anyway, I stumbled across this site and discovered soooo many fun new snacks. I especially love that you can browse by category to support BIPOC, AAPI, Latinx, or female-founded brands. Linked here.
Ghia Spritz
Truth be told I don’t love alcohol, but I do love feeling festive. Enter the Ghia lime and salt spritz. Made with lime juice, sea salt & yuzu juice, it’s tart and refreshing and has zero added sugar. I like mine over ice with a twist of orange. Linked here.
Chic Flats
I’m pretty much done with wearing heels, so I’ve been on a mission to find chic, elevated flats for a while. I’m pretty loyal to Freda Salvador when it comes to shoes because they check all my boxes. They’re female-founded, based in San Francisco, and their small batch shoes (while an investment) are handcrafted in family factories in Spain and El Salvador and made to last.
My favorites for spring include these woven ballet flats (love the kelly green and hot pink, but prob not for me), these classic loafers, and these studded fisherman sandals for a little edge. You can use my code 15SHIRA for 15% off your first order at Freda Salvador.

Eyelet Blouse
I pretty much live in light, airy blouses, and this one from The Great is my current favorite. It’s listed in their sleepwear category, but don’t let that stop you from wearing it whenever, wherever. Linked here. I also love this airy sleep dress which I would happily wear in public with high top sneakers.
I spent December, January, and February in no-buy-mode. Mostly out of necessity, but also being intentional. This month I bought two pair of mules and two simple spring dresses that I've been eyeing since last year and which were dramatically marked down to get them out of inventory. I count these as wins having spent little cash. But, I want to incorporate the "rule" of limiting myself to 5 new pieces of clothing to the end of the year. It will be a challenge, particularly as I'm in the process of updating my style, but that can be accomplished with a few signature pieces. No need to build an entirely new wardrobe. Here I go. I've written it so I must make earnest attempt. Wish me luck on my journey to be an intentional and discerning shopper.
Hey Shira, I love the Great sleep shirt. Is the white one see through? Trying to decide which color to purchase
