It’s Here: LifeStyled is Officially Out in the World!
It’s launch day! My new book, LifeStyled, is officially here, and it’s packed with practical tools and quick wins to help you streamline your home, life, mindset, and schedule.
This book is personal. It’s vulnerable. And, thanks to photographer Vivian Johnson and art director Betsy Stromberg, it’s also very, very pretty. Think of it as your new life-simplifying handbook—practical and compact enough to toss in your bag, and chic enough to display on your nightstand or coffee table.

Why I Wrote This Book
Here’s the thing: after 15 years as a home organizing expert, my house was in great shape. My life…? Different story. Somehow, I’d managed to meticulously edit every drawer and closet while neglecting to apply the same clarity of purpose to my schedule, priorities, and social plans. Everywhere I turned—friends, clients, colleagues—people were telling me the same thing: too much stuff, too many commitments, too little time. It wasn’t just me; we were all stuck in this endless loop of too much.
When my publisher asked what I wanted to write about next, “life minimalism” felt like the obvious next step. What if the same strategies I use to organize a home could work for everything else—health, relationships, career, finances, even mindset? What if we could declutter not just our spaces but our entire lives?
So I did it. I spent a year ruthlessly editing my digital life, my calendar, my to-do lists, even my belief systems and relationships. Sometimes it was messy, awkward, and uncomfortable (Turns out, editing your inbox is a lot easier than reevaluating your friendships). But, it was also freeing. Like, really freeing. And honestly, a little exhilarating.
Now, I’m so excited to share everything I learned along the way. This book is for anyone who’s ready to get out of reactive-survival-mode, simplify their life, and refocus on what actually matters. If I can do it, I promise you can too. Let’s edit our lives together—starting now.

A Heartfelt Thank You
This book wouldn’t exist without the brilliance of my agent Julia Eagleton, and my editors Kim Keller, Dervla Kelly and the amazing team at Ten Speed Press, who have supported me through three books in a row. It also wouldn’t be nearly as beautiful without the designers and stylists who opened their doors and shared their spaces - Caitlin Flemming, Chrissy Hunter, Paige Block, Brodie Jenkins, Vintage Rug Shop, and Becca Meyer - I adore you!
But most of all, I’m grateful for you. Your support—whether by ordering the book, sharing it with friends, or simply being part of this community—means everything to me. I don’t take your time or attention lightly, and it’s because of you that I get to do the work I love every single day.
If LifeStyled resonates with you, I’d be so honored if you’d order a copy to share with someone who might need it. You can also request it from your local library. Let’s spread the movement of less overwhelm and more intentionality together.

Finances! Especially get rid of any old paperwork I don’t need, set up proper estate plan for my family and leave a legacy of having my affairs in order for my survivors to navigate easily. Congrats on the latest book Shira!🥰
My closet is *crying for help*! After 20 years in a toxic corporate job, I finally broke free, ditched the soul-sucking workwear, and rediscovered my creative, free-spirited self.
After lots of therapy, coaching, tattoos, and piercings (to ensure I never go back 🫣) I’m left with a sad pile of jeans, stretched-out leggings, and tired cardigans that scream, 'I gave up.'
I’ve been decluttering my whole house (thanks for the inspo, Shira!) but the closet? It’s the mood-killer. I’m ready to stop showing up to my daughter’s events looking like a walking nap and embrace a wardrobe that says, 'This woman is free, fabulous, and finally breathing!’ ✨
