love these! I use the Gmail Snooze button like crazy and it's so helpful for me to keep my inbox clear. For instance if I get invited to an event, I put the event on my calendar and then snooze the email til the day of the event. Or snooze an email to a time when I'll actually want to reply, like maybe a few days later if it's not urgent.

Love these ideas! I'm also trying to implement an idea from James Clear: to only check email when I'm physically at my computer, rather than randomly throughout the day on my phone.

Most of my emails are related to things for my kiddos or things to read like this Substack. I’m great at managing all my other emails except these two categories!

Yes - I struggle with wanting to store articles and newsletters I want to read. Now I only follow a handful of outlets so it's easier to keep up with. Glad this newsletter made the cut! x

I love this idea too, but am unsure how to execute. In terms of logistics, how does this work? Where do you keep these automated emails? In a Google doc or unsent emails that you then cut and paste? Or is there an easier solution…? Thank you!!!

In Gmail:

1. Create a draft with the automated email you want to save

2. Select Template > Save Draft as Template

Then you can pull up any of your saved templates whenever appropriate - hope this makes sense! x

This is so inspiring. Congrats! Love the option of just archiving it all. Hahaha things that are important will resurface or can be searched. Brilliant. 👏🏼

This is a great post. I've enlisted help in archiving all except this year's emails. Mine go back to 2008. I don't want to delete. Most are conversations with fellow writers from my MFA program and I'd like to preserve them. I use iCloud email, which I think automatically deletes once the inbox hits a certain point, but if archiving defers that process, that's a good thing.

Also, yes to decanting. Your suggestions work for me as well. I use Weck jars, an old German manufacturer. They work marvelously for all of my lentils, grains, dried fruit, nuts, and seeds. I even use the small ones for pints of fresh berries. As you said, aesthetically pleasing, but they also keep the bugs out, prolong freshness, and make shelved items transparent.

Thanks.
