I loved this post Shira! I just lost a ton of weight and have been happily editing my closet down to only the things that fit, that I love and that I wear! I also used all your ideas to help my friend declutter and organize her whole kitchen and her small bedroom closet (which she shares with her husband). I have been teaching her, what you have taught me. Thank-you for being amazing!

Love the concept All Killer No Filler!

Do you find with fewer clothes that they wear out quickly and need replacing often?

I don't really - I buy clothes in durable fabrics and find they get better with age! x

Yesterday I ordered the Sezane Chelsea blazer in camel herringbone. Finally, after DECADES, I am honing into my style and making fewer fashion mistakes. I know I will wear this endlessly, packing it for every trip, just like my old RL herringbone one which just does not fit the same after 25 years of ownership and adventures. I can create it casually with jeans or professionally when needed. Looking forward to hear more about your styling journey!

As much as I love summer, autumn is getting more and more appealing because layers. Sweaters, cardigans, blazers, scarves, funky socks. All fun stuff. I spent a portion of yesterday switching out the larger closet from summer/spring to fall/winter. What a delight to tuck away the white linen and bring in the earthy knits. There's nothing like the change of seasons to push forward a new look.

I was feeling a bit of that last winter. I like my wardrobe. It's large though not overwhelming. Glancing at it one can assume there is a lot of style choice. There isn't. It represents a definitive relaxed, classic style. I didn't want to break out of it, per se. I wanted a tiny upgrade. Footwear did the trick. I elevated by swapping out boots for pointed mules. My father said a man is never polished if his hair and feet are not properly tended. I agree. Not a man, of course, but it's a universal adage. That's my tip of the day. Thanks for the post.

This process is so important before you even begin to think about adding anything to your wardrobe!
