I am so happy for you! What a relief.

Your post about a solo retreat and unplugging reminded me of a great book I read you might enjoy, The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark Comer.

Enjoy your retreat in Calistoga!

Amazing news! How wonderful! May your solo retreat give your heart and head a chance to reset so you are ready to have all of those parties because it is definitely time to celebrate.

Side note, have you ever read the book called The Myth of Normal? There are some similar stories in the book. It is amazing what the body and mind can do.

Sending so many peaceful and joyful stars your way.

You have given me much to think about in planning the coming week. Heart surgery is Tuesday, after which I will be home, alone, and unsure about just how my body will respond. I am considering what you say here about solo retreat, which I take for two weeks annually to write, but which has been bumped up because surgeries this year. I can still have a bit of retreat feel next week. Thank you for reminding me. Now to plan for the possibilities.

Glad to read about your daughter. I can't imagine what you and your family, your poor daughter, have been through these months. Continue to be well. A

Shira I’m so happy for you all. It’s amazing how these things happen. I hope you have a wonderfully relaxing retreat. You really deserve this time for yourself so you can be refueled for yourself and family. I’m having a short 3 day retreat house sitting for my daughter while she and her husband are on a first baby moon in Queensland. Just me and her dog and I can’t wait to relax, read, etc.

All the best to you and your family
