I will have to work hard on identifying the books I honestly will never read as even though they are not on a list they are always in the back of my mind. This one will honestly be much harder than identifying the clothes I will never wear (done) and the cookware I never use (done)

Good luck. Honestly. Good luck. I do a book giveaway and then rebuy the books. I'm hopeless.

Good luck with the books. Remember they are always available at the library if you change your mind one day ;)

It's like you read my mind and knew I needed this prompt! I literally woke up Monday morning, pulled out a random notebook and did a brain dump of everything in my head, something I don't do very often. Completely changed my mindset and started my day off on the right foot. Committing to doing this each day this week!

I love that! It's so simple but can be so cathartic! x

Ohh love all of this; the Brain dump needs to happen; is it bad that I need to figure out what I’m going to choose, because I think they are all great And at the moment my brain needs a moment 😂

I’m gonna donate the books “I will never read” to our local library and actually start reading the books I want to read. Thanks for all of this wonderful and helpful ideas!

I just did the thought download and had nooooo idea how helpful it would be to get things out on paper. I'm not very good at journaling because when I use ~cute~ journals I feel like my thoughts have to be organized and methodical (which they aren't... at all 😂) and my handwriting has to look nice, but I just did it in a crappy old notebook and it felt so freeing!

ALSO setting the timer was literally so helpful because it forced me to keep dumping my thoughts out even when I thought they were done (they weren't lol). Thanks for the tip -- will definitely be doing that more often!

Ha! No cute journal or organized notes necessary for this one. So thrilled to hear it was helpful! x

I made cookies with my son and we double batched the recipe to use at two events. It was a win on multiple fronts! I’m also outsourcing steaming my wrinkled curtains, ditched making gingerbread houses (it doesn’t need to happen every year, kept decorating Santa cookies), and am finding my flow in doing a puzzle on a weekday evening. It seems like a lot of the other things I could ditch bring me joy and I would really miss. How do you decide what you can do without?

Ooh so many wins!!

To answer your question: I try to let go of (or delegate) things if they fill me with dread, create more clutter in my life, or don't feel like a good use of my energy. Hope this helps! x

Wow! That was so revealing about myself. I didn’t realize I did so many things to buffer my stress. One of them is actually cleaning. Not that my house is even close to immaculate, but I will randomly pick something that I have to clean out before I can do anything else. Like an old box of papers or that unused corner of the garage. Drives my husband crazy!

I plan to ditch making cookies and replace it with a thought dump. Thanks for the helpful ideas!

For almost a year, I haven't been able to view one of my bank account in the bank app, and it drives me crazy. Thanks to your prompt, today I took the first step of reaching out to the bank to figure out how to fix this.
